I haven't seen any evidence of them coming near my oca, tho' I've plenty on my brassicas.
The rust (if it is rust) has virtually disappeared now the hot weather has gone. Amazing. I've noticed this also sometimes happens with rusts on alliums and grasses.
Plants started from true seed are always going to be more vulnerable than those from tubers.Anonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/14999959164086250161noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5877603171717741431.post-73586316062820346522010-08-23T09:57:29.057+01:002010-08-23T09:57:29.057+01:00I've noticed aphids, frog hoppers and flea bee...I've noticed aphids, frog hoppers and flea beetles on my plants this year. I have plants with something like the rust you are referring to, although not as severe. It seems to vary between adjacent individuals, so there may be a genetic component to the degree of resistance. The blackleg-like rot has occurred on a couple of my seedlings too. Voles, slugs and snails have eaten several of the self-sown seedlings. Pest and disease immune - I don't think so. Still a great plant though.Rhizowenhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13898344291012563139noreply@blogger.com
